The Symbolism of Kaliya Nag: Unlocking the Secrets of Kundalini

In the spiritual realm, the serpent represents Kundalini energy. This energy, in its highest form, is embodied by Sri Lalita Mahatripurasundari. The Kundalini is comprised of seven chakras, which symbolize the stages of a seeker’s consciousness.

When Krishna danced on Kaliya Nag, it was not just a physical event, but a profound spiritual phenomenon. The seven hoods of the serpent represent the seven chakras. Krishna’s dance and the playing of his flute signify his mastery over the seven chakras.

To attain a consciousness like Krishna’s, one must pierce through the seven chakras and access the higher understanding that lies beyond. This will unlock a new dimension, beyond human comprehension.

Shiva, too, has symbolically worn the serpent as a garland around his neck. This represents the need for stability and courage, like Shiva, to tame the restless serpent of Kundalini energy. Only then can one achieve liberation and facilitate a transformative shift in consciousness.
