The name Radha holds profound meaning. Radha represents the ultimate energy, the supreme state that transcends this creation and encompasses the entire universe. She is the birth-giver of all existence.
The question arises: if you’re a devotee of Kali, you consider Kali supreme; if you’re a Baglamukhi sadhak, you consider Baglamukhi supreme, and so on. Here, we must transcend the differences in forms and understand the unity in diversity, “Ekoham Bahusyami” (I am one, yet many).
Observe the flow of the Ganges River, from its origin to its various ghats. At times, it’s fierce and destructive, while at others, it’s calm and nurturing. The energy is the same, but its expressions vary.
Similarly, the divine energy is one, but its manifestations are diverse. If you’re still caught in the differences of forms and energies, you’re far from liberation.
Radha is the ultimate reality, the supreme energy that encompasses all forms, including Kali, Sita, Durga, and even Shiva. The Mahavidyas you worship are all expansions of this energy, manifested through Shiva.
This understanding transcends sectarianism and dogma. Today, on Radhashtami, Radha’s birth anniversary is celebrated everywhere. However, when the Radha principle awakens in your heart, you’ll see the entire world as one, unified reality.
This is what Guru Totapuri did for Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, striking his ajna chakra and liberating Kali from her limited form, revealing her as the universal consciousness.
