Just as an onion has multiple layers, your truth is also shrouded in numerous layers of maya (illusion). Your maya has enveloped your truth to the extent that even your spiritual experiences, divine encounters, or higher states of consciousness might be mere illusions, beyond your comprehension.
You may feel like you’ve reached a higher state, but it’s just maya’s labyrinth. You might experience vivid dreams, sensations, or visions, but these are often just energy movements or your subconscious mind playing tricks on you.
Realization is not an achievement. When true realization occurs, you will no longer be the same person. It will silence you, making you still and quiet. The genuine experiencer will not boast about their spiritual encounters. They will simply be still.
The first sign of a divine experience is that you’ll prefer solitude, as everything else will seem insignificant. True realization won’t make you fly; it will transform you into a Buddha, Mahavira, Krishna, or Shiva.
Achievement will strip away all the layers of the onion, revealing the truth. And the truth about the onion is that once all its layers are removed, nothing remains. The ultimate truth is that nothing should remain – not even you.
As you peel away each layer, the tears will flow, for these layers are tied to your mind and maya. Attachment is pain, and pain brings tears. But it’s essential to remove these layers.
Can truth be achieved or discovered? Truth is not something to be found; it’s what remains when what’s false is removed. What’s lost can be found, but what’s always present can’t be searched for. All you need to do is remove the layers, and it will reveal itself.
Yes, it will be painful, and tears will flow, but removing the layers is necessary.
