Embracing Solitude: The Path of the Brave Seeker

Those who embark on a journey with a caravan are not the brave ones, but rather the travelers who venture out alone. The true seeker is the one who steps out into the unknown, unaccompanied and undaunted.

The attainment of spiritual liberation, self-realization, and union with the Divine is reserved for those who have dared to walk the solitary path. It is not the one who seeks validation and support from others, but rather the one who stands alone, relying solely on the guidance of their guru and the whispers of their own heart.

The brave seeker does not require the constant presence of others; they are comfortable in their own company, and their solitude is not a source of fear or discomfort. On the contrary, it is in this solitude that they discover their true strength and the depths of their own inner wisdom.

The seeker who requires constant validation and support from others may become a scholar or an intellectual, but they will never become a true seeker. The path of the seeker is not for the faint of heart; it demands courage, resilience, and the willingness to confront one’s own limitations and fears.

In the words of the great sage, Shiv, the true seeker is the one who sits atop the cremation grounds of their own ego, desires, and limitations, and from that vantage point, they gaze out upon the world with the eyes of a conqueror.

The practice of Shab Sadhana, or the meditation on the corpse, is a powerful tool for the seeker. But what does this practice truly represent? Is it not the willingness to confront one’s own mortality, to sit atop the corpse of one’s own ego and desires, and to arise from that meditation transformed, renewed, and reborn?

So, I ask you, dear seeker, are you prepared to embark on this solitary journey, to confront your own fears and limitations, and to arise transformed, like the phoenix from the ashes? The choice is yours, and yours alone. 🔯🪷☝️
